Conversational Hypnosis – An Effective Method for Changing Beliefs

Sometimes applying conversational hypnosis is easy. You simply need to build rapport, reach the subconscious mind and make the embedded command. In other cases, you have to work harder to get to this stage.

There is no doubt that the best way to reach and influence the subconscious mind is to use the beliefs of the person.

For instance, if the person believes that he is capable of accomplishing success, you can readily use conversational hypnosis to make him think that doing what you want will bring him success.

However, sometimes the beliefs of people may be conflicting with the things you want them to do. For instance, it will be extremely difficult for you to make a person who lacks confident do something risky.

That is why you need to use some methods for changing beliefs in order to apply hypnosis effectively. One of them is to change the criteria the person uses.

There are two ways, in which you can use this method. You can change the criteria the person applies to himself or the ones he applies to the thing that you want him to do.

In both cases, the results should be satisfactory. The best way to choose which criteria to change is to decide which belief that you want to change is stronger.

It is perfectly possible for you to change criteria using conversational hypnosis. Your task is to make the person see himself or the thing you want him to do from a different angle.

Using the example with the man who lacks confidence, you can readily identify the root causes for this and reframe them.

For instance, if his income is small, you can readily show him how others in his situation earn times less. As his income criterion is lowered, his confidence will change.
