In my experience, it is much better to rely on your own creativity from day one.

The problem is that you may find it difficult to come up with the right words, when it’s time to influence the person. Simply put, you may blank out. That is why it is a good idea to have some tricks up your sleeve and use them when you become stuck.

When building rapport, you do not need to use words, but you need to keep the conversation going, when using mirror imaging. That is why it is a good idea to work on having small talk.

You can find simple questions to ask the person, such as “How was your day?” If you do not know the person, you can simply ask, “How are you today?” This is not inappropriate and will definitely give you a great basis for applying covert hypnosis.

The other trick is to rely on the traditional power words, when attempting to reach the person’s subconscious mind. “What if”, “imagine”, “see yourself” and even “think about”. Just memorize these and use them in the most appropriate moment.

It is more difficult to find the right words, when you are pacing and leading. The best way to come up with valid statements is to just look around you and say thing that are totally true. For instance, “You are sitting in an armchair.”

In covert hypnosis, you have to lead a conversation and think about the techniques you will use. That is why you may need more time to come up with the right words in the beginning. Just take your time to do so. Use different gestures and even ask the person, you are talking to, to give you some time to answer.

You have just learned how to practice the art of covert hypnosis more effectively. Keep expanding your knowledge to become a successful practitioner. Continue with my article Covert Hypnosis – 4 Tips for Successfully Hypnotizing Anyone.
