The problem is that this is not always as easy as it sounds.

How do you know what values and beliefs a person who you have just met has? The answer is that you cannot possibly know these things straight away.

The good news is that covert hypnosis gives you some techniques that you can readily use to overcome your lack of knowledge or gain the information you need.

It is not a mistake to assume that people have commonly shared values and beliefs. This can readily help you hypnotize someone. There are a lot of common values and belief. These include helping a person in need, looking to improve your wellbeing and even saving the natural environment.

For instance, one of the effective ways salespersons use to make a customer purchase a product is by linking the purchase to saving the planet. They can say that the item is “green”. They can say that a part of the price of the product goes for saving the whales.

This is a very simplified, but effective approach that you can use when you hypnotize people. It is more difficult to try to find out what are the actual beliefs and values and desires of a person that you do not know.

The best way to do it is to ask questions. Sometimes these can be quite straightforward. For instance, you can ask, “What makes you feel accomplished/happy/relaxed?”

Another approach, which is equally effective, is to use the person’s memories to get this information, when you hypnotize him. For instance, “Imagine the happiest moment in your life. What do you see? How do you feel?”

Then you simply have to take note of the emotions and perceptions and link them to the thing you want the person to do.

Now you know how to collect and use personal information to hypnotize. Keep learning more with my article Hypnotize – The Myths And Realities About Conversational Hypnosis.
