Hypnotism

Together they form a tool that is extremely powerful and flexible to use at the same time. You can readily expand your knowledge to use this tool more effectively with the following tips.

Your task during pacing is to get the person to agree to every statement you make. Of course, the statement must be valid. A lot of novice practitioners feel uncomfortable about saying obvious truths, such as “You are sitting on a couch with your feet on the floor.”

You should not worry that the person you want to apply hypnotism on will react strangely to this. If you have built rapport effectively and the person believes you are telling him such things for his own good, this should not be an issue.

Another hypnotism pacing technique that seems more natural is to ask questions for pacing. For instance, you can say to the person, “You are comfortable sitting on the couch with your feet on the floor, aren’t you?”

Basically, you have to ask questions to get the person to say “yes”. It is perfectly fine for them to be more factual. For instance, you can ask, “You are Mr. Smith, aren’t you?”

In hypnotism, leading is the more difficult part. You have to make sure that the person is really going to follow the pattern and say “yes” to all your suggestions.

The basic pacing and leading technique requires you make at least two statements that are true and many practitioners stick to this rule, but you can readily pace using more statements.

Instead of leading straight away, you can readily present the transition. For instance, you can lead with, “Now you are becoming more relaxed/more focused/more motivated.”

You can also say something like, “Now you realize you are ready to do this thing (the thing you want).”

Now you know how to pace and lead in hypnotism more flexibly. Keep learning more with my article Hypnotism – How to Hypnotize Anyone to Obtain Anything You Want.
