A lot of novice practitioners think that the hypnotic process is solely driven by the hypnotist and he directs every thought and emotion of the subject.

This is certainly not the cases and there are many examples for this. Anchors are the most vivid of all examples. You are not telling a person how to feel, but give him an anchor so that you can elicit certain emotions.

You can use assumptions in conversational hypnosis in pretty much the same way. All you have to do is make a statement that will make the person you want to hypnotize assume a thing you want.

In order to get such a result, you need to simply make factual statements. Let’s say that you are a sales person trying to sell a product to a big company. You can readily say, “Over 1,000 companies use our product now.”

The prospect customers will automatically assume that your product is in high demand and that it is good, since so many of their competitors use it.

In general, you can use similar patterns to influence people in all sorts of situations. If you want to make a coworker of yours work overtime, you can readily say to him, “Employees who work over time are usually additionally rewarded by the management.”

You are not telling the person this will happen to him, but he is most likely to assume it.

As you can see, it is easy to make people assume things when you apply conversational hypnosis. Just remember that you should do your best not to use false, manipulative and offensive statements to provoke assumptions.
