Use the following tips to expand your knowledge and improve your performance.

1) Make it a habit to speak after thinking through what you will say.

This may sound way too obvious, but the reality is that most of us do not think through everything we say, especially in casual conversations. Furthermore, you should really give yourself some time to come up with the best possible pattern.

For instance, when you are on the phone requesting some kind of service, you should not ask, “Will you do this for me?” but “When/How will you do this?” It is perfectly natural for you to use the first question, but if you want to hypnotize the person on the other side of the line, you have to ask the second one.

2) Pace for as long as necessary.

You probably know the rule of thumb – you have to pace with three facts to get the person accept the leading that will follow. It is a good rule to follow, but sometimes it is better to pace for longer.

It is certainly beneficial to do some more pacing to hypnotize someone who is deeply emotionally shaken. Your pacing will allow the person to relax and to truly accept what you are saying.

3) Make embedded commands using presuppositions.

When you hypnotize, you have to presuppose that the person will do what you want. This is the most effective way to make an embedded command.

In order to avoid making your presupposition obvious, you should ask a question. For instance, you can say, “What will you do after having done X?”

Now you know how to hypnotize more effectively. Keep discovering more in my article Hypnotize – The Myths And Realities About Conversational Hypnosis.
