You should learn as many patterns as possible and apply them correctly. However, it is equally important to communicate non-verbally with the person you want to hypnotize.

We use non-verbal cues all the time, so it will not be unnatural for you to use them when you influence people though conversational hypnosis. However, the non-verbal hypnotic techniques are slightly more difficult and require some more practice.

These techniques are most abundantly used during the rapport building stage of the hypnotic process. You have to use mirror imaging and eye contact matching.

Mirror imaging takes time to master, so it is a good idea for you to practice using it extensively. As a novice practitioner who wants to learn how to hypnotize more effectively, you should try mirroring small gestures first.

Instead of crossing your right leg over like the person you want to hypnotize, you can readily mirror his nodding. It is much simpler and easier to mirror. More importantly, the person is much less likely to consciously notice what you are trying to do.

Eye contact matching is an essential technique that you need to master fully as you learn how to hypnotize. It is essential for you not to stare at the person you want to influence, especially when mirroring his gestures.

Look at the person for as long as he looks at you. Try to look him in the eye only when he does the same. If he looks in a specific direction when speaking, you should do the same as well.

Finally, remember to keep your voice low and to speak flatly. Raise your voice only when you are asking a question.

Now you know how to hypnotize non-verbally. Keep learning more on hypnosis with my article How to Hypnotize-The Power To Control Anyone.
