Conversational Hypnosis-Is it all it’s cracked up to be?

If you’ve been researching learning to hypnotize people you have obviously come across conversational hypnosis. As a matter of fact I found an interesting article about it over at

Now I’ve been a a proponent of using hypnosis NOT for therapy per se but to get people to do what you want. This is where conversational hypnosis comes in.

The issue is how to do it. There are a number of techniques you can use and my favorite is using presuppositions. The cool thing about presuppositions is that you need to assume the presupposed part is true to make sense of the sentence. Let me give you an example.

I’m going to walk to the supermarket.

What does this presuppose? Well to list a few of them, it presupposes I can actually walk, it presupposes the supermarket is in walking distance, it also presupposes that I’m not at the supermarket.

Once you understand how to use hypnotic presuppositions you’ll be getting people to do what you want in no time.
